Ordered a burger over the phone and they said 25min. Got to the place and it took 50min total to get the order. Also asked for bleu cheese on the side and they dumped it on the burger. Good burger though.
I had the chicken, which I enjoyed, until I found a hair in my fries. The dishes ordered by my party were salmon (which came out raw, not once but twice), brisket, pork, short rib and burger. Most were disappointed with the food. I gave it three stars because I thought the chicken, short rib, corn bread, fries and dessert were good. I mean, it's Ohio bbq....
Our meals were miserable. Brisket was chewy and covered with a sweet sauce like ketchup. Mac and cheese was bitter and green beans were under cooked. The baby back ribs were very fatty, baked beans were like a paste, and the mashed potatoes were bland. Marc and Gretchen need to take a few more trips to the Carolinas.
My boyfriend and I came here about a month ago for date night and GOOD LORD WE WEREN'T DISAPPOINTED. Some of the best pulled pork I have ever had. It is quite busy and full but you don't feel crowded at all. The atmosphere was warm and casual. To top it off, the waitress we had was absolute perfection. Her section was busy but she managed to juggle all of us in a quick, friendly, and efficient manner.
Everything is good here - salads, entrées, and especially the wide beer. The staff is also friendly. It's decidedly casual (jeans are appropriate), and it has a number of TVs behind the bar so it's a great place to meet up with friends.
