The secretaries are rude and don't know how to verify insurance coverage. They are also prejudice to clients on Medicaid. The office did not want to give me my birth control injection. They wanted me to go to an abortion clinic to get my shot. Worst experience ever. Then my significant made an appointment and because he didn't have his paper insurance card they did not see him. How could anyone working the front desk at a doctors office not know how to call an insurance company to verify coverage???? Then this "secretary" had the nerve to yell at my significant when he called to give them the number to insurance. Didn't know there was more than one care source Medicaid in Ohio. Very untrained staff.
I had issues with the office manager linda it seemed from the start on the phone. Its been 30 years since ive been to see a doctor, back when i was like 17 when my mom had insurance. . I known nothing of how the system works. Like I said from the start it seemed like the office manager Linda wouldn't even give me the time of day until I could tell her what insurance I had being so unfamiliar I told her I'm not really sure finally I got an appointment. I went in early apparently the paper card they just sent me had expired it was only a temporary card I didn't know that right off the bat she was like that's expired in a weird tone of voice. I tried to explain to her I wasn't really sure that my girlfriend said she could call and verify the information and that's what the representative from the insurance company said too, from the start it seemed like an issue for her to call she ended up calling a number that was obviously the wrong number because I wasn't found in the system and at the time my girlfriend called on the other line and gave them a bit of attitude about not being able to verify my information so I left and went home I then called the number that I had it was put on hold for a half an hour but after they answerd within five minutes my insurance was verified to the number I called the person I talked togave me . The bottom line is that the secretary Linda wasnt helpful at all. All it took was one call to the insurance company. Caresource medicaid hmo. There is only one in ohio. I would not recommend this office. If the secretaries are this rude and lazy and i cant even imagine what the doctors are like. I have also filed a complaint with my insurance company.
